The Guiding Principles of New Beginnings Community Church

Our desire is that New Beginnings Community Church be a church where

I.    Jesus Christ is Lord
Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor and gave him the name above all other names, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:9-11 NLT)

II.
God Leads Through The Pastor
  • The pastor is to shepherd and oversee the flock
Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood. (Acts 20:28 NIV)
Elders who do their work well should be respected and paid well, especially those who work hard at both preaching and teaching. (1 Timothy 5:17 NLT)
  • He is also to teach and train and equip believers to become mature in the Lord
Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-13 NLT)

III.    People Are Loved and Accepted
  • Love and compassion for people is the defining characteristic of Jesus
  • Love and compassion for people should be the defining characteristic of every church
IV.    Disciples Are Made
  • Jesus commanded us to make disciples
So wherever you go, make disciples of all nations: Baptize them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Teach them to do everything I have commanded you. "And remember that I am always with you until the end of time. (Matthew 28:19-20 GWV)

V.    People Are Safe
  • The church should be a place free from unsettling spirits such as gossip and divisiveness. Love does not tolerate such things. Love disciplines. Love protects.
If people are causing divisions among you, give a first and second warning. After that, have nothing more to do with them. (Titus 3:10 NLT)

VI.    There Is A Spirit Of Oneness
  • Without a spirit of oneness, the world will not believe our message.
I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one--as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. (John 17:20-21 NLT)

The Mission Statement of New Beginnings Community Church!

The Mission Statement of Heaven is the mission statement of New Beginnings Community Church!

"The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, Because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD."   Luke 4:18-19 NKJV

This is what Jesus quoted for Himself as He began His ministry. And this is our ministry, too, because Jesus also said,

"As the Father has sent Me, I also send you." John 20:21 NKJV

It is our desire to go in the power of His Spirit to fulfill this great mission.

What Does All This Mean For You?

This means that God has a message of hope for you!

The Lord Jesus Christ wants you to be His disciple. This is the only way to have a

real relationship with God,

real experiences of worship and prayer,

real spiritual growth through messages and studies from God's Word,

real fellowship with believers,

real power to bless and help others,

real blessing in your marriage and family, and

real meaning and purpose in your work.

Yes, God really does have a wonderful plan for you! Please join us this Sunday morning to learn more!

Making a Difference - helping the hurting and the needy

One of the areas of our ministry that means so much to us is based on what Jesus taught in Matthew 25:35-36:

"‘for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; ‘I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.'"

Jesus commends those who addressed the needs of the needy - the hungry, thirsty, the naked, the sick and the imprisoned.

New Beginnings Community Church is making a difference by ministering to hurting people.
